Indonesia is a nation with one of the most diverse culture in the world, and this small group tour will take you to see and experience the culture of the Bajau Laut people of Sulawesi. The Bajau people also known as the Sea Gypsies are a group of people who used to live nomadically before majority of them were forced to live inland or in the floating houses off the coast of Sulawesi.

The Bajau can still found charting the waters of the Sulu Sea, off the southwestern coast of the Philippines, the Sipadan islands of Malaysia's and the various seas that surround the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the Bajau

The sea gypsies are true masters of the sea, having roamed the waters of the Coral Triangle between Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia for many generations.

Even today, a sizeable population still live in wooden houseboats or stilt huts built atop coral reefs near Semporna’s islands.

 Known as the Sea Nomads or Sea Gypsies, the Bajau Laut are a group of people who used to live nomadically on the waters of the Sulu Sea, off the southwestern coast of the Philippines, the Sipadan islands of Malaysia and the various seas that surround the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

Nowadays, a sizeable population live in stilt huts built atop coral reefs of the Togean Islands in Sulawesi.
